We speak to everyone who understands that time is running out. We must join forces and resources to reduce—before it’s too late—the destructive impact of plastic and microplastic on the life of the planet.
Plastic and microplastic are everywhere:
in oceans, soil, air, and even our bodies. It is a silent but deadly enemy—for humans, animals, and entire ecosystems.
Although far from industrial centers, the Cabo Verde islands are being flooded with tons of plastic—mostly carried by ocean currents
This waste washes up on pristine beaches, ends up in the stomachs of birds and turtles, and poisons water, air, and land.
We’ve assembled an interdisciplinary team of specialists who have defined specific areas of activity and measurable project evaluation criteria

A Threat We See Every Day
Plastic doesn’t disappear. Even when it’s out of sight, its particles continue to circulate—in water, in the air, and in living organisms.

In Cabo Verde, environmental awareness among local communities is low. There is a lack of education, tools, and infrastructure. That’s why our work is not just emergency response—but systemic change.

Gasification – an effective solution to plastic waste
Instead of costly and often ineffective recycling, we support gasification technologies that convert mixed waste into clean energy.
Why does it matter?
- No need for sorting plastic
- Waste becomes electricity and heat
- Produces only a small amount of harmless ash
- Can be implemented locally, without complex logistics
This is a solution that can be a game changer for islands like Cabo Verde.

We know that change begins with awareness. That’s why we organize workshops, lessons, awareness campaigns, and community activities to show people—especially children and youth—why plastic is dangerous and how it can be avoided.
We want local communities to start demanding solutions—from each other and from their leaders.
